The Multidisciplinary Integrated Systems Department (MISD) supports Raytheon by providing world class technical expertise and engineering leadership to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems, Sensors, and Effectors. We lead all aspects of Systems Engineering that drive the development of complex systems to support Raytheon’s Land and Air Defense Systems business area from our Huntsville, AL location. Our Systems Engineers solve technical challenges at the System of System (SoS), System, Subsystem, and Component levels. Key technical domains include: Architecture, Requirements, Interface Definition, Modeling & Simulation, Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Communications, Network Design, and Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.
What You Will Do
You will perform Systems Engineering activities for one or more of our key technical domain areas on one of our many programs as an individual contributor. Potential programs include: Patriot, Air and Missile Defense Capability (AMDC), Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor (LTAMDS), and other sensor or effector programs.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience Experience with Missile Defense Systems or other related systems engineering experience Qualifications We Prefer Advanced Degree in STEM Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience Experience with system and sub-system level requirements development, documentation and maintenance and/or requirements development and design of system level software architecture Experience with system concepts; detection, discrimination, track and signal processing algorithms and their behaviors and performance Experience with the development and coding of system models, algorithms, test vectors and evaluation tools in support of analyzing radar requirements and performance Experience working with MATLAB (including object-oriented programming), Python, C/C++, Java or DOORS Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience with risk and opportunity analysis Modeling & Simulation development experience Data analysis Experience with the software development process using Agile Methodologies and tooling, including JIRA and Confluence Documented experience showing analytic, technical and problem-solving skills Experience demonstrating your communication, technical writing, oral presentation and interpersonal skills Previous experience interfacing with customers and leading technical solutions to complex user needs Experience working alone and in a geographically distributed team environment Experience working with other disciplines and communicating with all levels of the organization and stakeholders What We Offer Our values drive our actions,
