Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer. What you’ll do: Job Summary: Design and implement processes in manufacturing lines that can achieve the levels of required quality, customer service and manufacturing, providing support to maintain and improve the efficiency and productivity levels by the implementation of the Eaton Business System Tools.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide resources and continuous improvements to manufacturing processes. 2. Correct and prevent manufacturing problems related to the process and productivity. 3. Follow up, improve and monitor metrics or capacity measures, such as Yield, Scrap, Productivity, Efficiency. 4. Monitor and control flow of production processes through the development and implementation of the EBS tools. 5. Determine the manload for the product lines and provide the process, equipment, machine, fixtures and tools required on demand. 6. Design the manufacturing systems process & layout. 7. Develop and implement programs to reduce costs and increase efficiency. 8. Analyze customer complaints and develop corrective action plan. 9. Monitor and implement quality standards based on EQMS to ensure the certification of standard. 10. Analize and evaluate capacity of the process through capability studies. 11. Provide training and coordination to the Eng assistants/co-op assigned to the manufacturing lines & provide support on direct employees training. 12. Design manufacturing instruction and develop new process in order to provide work procedure and support the goals achievement. 13. Perform an active participation in the Departmental Teams. 14. Support the introduction of new production lines/products. Complete all required documents based on PROLaunch requirements. 15. Develop capital projects appropiations & execute accordingly to improve the process. 16. Update PFMEA tools and Control Plans with unusual conditions of the production process. 17. Mantain update of VSM, Standard Work and Error Proofing tools. 18. Follow up the Implementation of CO (Change Orders) aplicable to their areas & Change Control based on EQMS guidelines. 19. Responsible for the hourly Engineering manufacturing assistants for the assigned business area. 20. Lead continuous improvements events (VSM, 3P, LMF, TPM, SUR, SW, 5S, Problem Solving) Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS): Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection & close actions, in coordination with MESH team. Assist to all EHS training assigned. Promote and deploy MESH policies to subordinates and assigned service areas. Train all subordinate employees in JSA’s for all functions assigned. #LI-KL1 Qualifications: Education level required: Bachelor degree of Industrial, Electromechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineer Full Bilingual (English / Spanish) Years and area of experience required: Minimum experience of 3 years in similar positions. Technical knowledge: PC knowledge: Auto Cad and Microsoft Office Interpretation of design knowledge.
