Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Molding Manager. What you’ll do: Responsible to lead all supervisors for Tooling engineering, Injection process, tool assembly and machine shop. Lead the tooling engineering team for product reviews, DFMs, tool manufacturing and validation. Lead the tool assembly team for proper tool maintenance, preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance. Lead the machine shop team, trouble shooting, tool repair, spare part fabrication and tool improvements. Lead the Injection process team to validate new process, molds, transfer etc. Support trouble shooting in current production process. Overall support to production to meet all requirements, internal and external customers. Maximize efficiency in the use of resources and favorably impacting operation indicators such as they are Quality, Service and Cost base on his experience and technical knowledge participate in the problem solving. Job responsibilities • Lead tooling engineering team in RFQ, DFM, Product reviews, tool design reviews, documentations, manufacturing & validations. • Lead the team with new / transfer projects from other Eaton locations & validations at site. • Lead tooling engineering team to establish strategies / parameters for the use of team capabilities. • Coordinate tool correction action for new and ongoing manufacturing issues (Root cause analysis). • Lead the tool assembly team with proper set ups, preventive, corrective & predictive maintenance also some minor repairs. • Lead the tool assembly team to prepare the molds according to production plan, encourage root cause analysis to failures in molding failures. Standard spare parts inventory management. • Lead the machine shop supervisor with critical tool fixes inhouse, tool repairs, tool functionality, tool improvements, in house spare part manufacturing etc. • Lead the injection process team to establish new process parameters for new / transfer projects. • Work with Capital projects to improve productivity & efficiency. • Training and developing new employees. Qualifications: Education level required • Bachelor’s degree required. Years and area of experience required • Minimum 7 years of experience in plastic injection molding & minimum 5 years in manager position. Skills: Technical knowledge • Plastic injection mold design, injection process, manufacturing, maintenance, repair etc. • Experience with small & precise plastic parts. • GD&T. • Hot runner & Cold runner systems. • Plastic product feasibilities, Mold flow analysis review. • Fluent in English/Spanish. • Cost Out projects experience. • Solving Problem techniques (5 Why's, 8D's, etc.). • Project management. • Solid Works, Mold design (Type class 101,102,103 & 104 according to SPI).
