Vice President, Product Strategist

About this role BlackRock is seeking an experienced Systematic Investment Strategist to support the commercialization, client engagement, and product servicing of our Systematic Active Equity (SAE) platform across Asia Pacific, with a particular focus on Greater China . Description We are seeking an experienced investment professional to join the SAE team in Hong Kong and serve as a key bridge between our investment platform and clients across Asia Pacific, with particular emphasis on Greater China. The role requires the ability to communicate SAE’s investment philosophy, research process, portfolio construction, and product capabilities across a wide range of audiences—from highly technical institutional due diligence discussions to large-scale wealth and distribution presentations. The successful candidate will develop deep expertise across SAE’s full range of strategies, spanning long-only active equity, equity extension, and hedge fund solutions. The individual will be expected to develop into a highly self-sufficient member of the team, taking ownership of client relationships and commercial opportunities while remaining deeply connected to SAE’s global investment platform. Responsibilities will span client engagement, product commercialization, investment and portfolio analysis, development of client content, and selected portfolio management and investment activities during The role will report directly to the Head of APAC Systematic Investment Strategy, based in San Francisco , and will work closely with SAE investment professionals in Hong Kong, Singapore, San Francsico as well as colleagues across SAE’s global investment platform.   Key Attributes The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of: Client and interpersonal skills – Ability to build credibility with sophisticated institutional investors, wealth clients, distribution partners, and senior internal stakeholders. Investment and technical knowledge – Strong understanding of systematic investing and the ability to explain how quantitative strategies source information, generate alpha, manage risk, and construct portfolios. Analytical and programming capabilities – Ability to efficiently access, analyze, and interpret investment and portfolio data using Python, proprietary SAE systems, and other analytical tools, and translate analysis into clear investment insights. Greater China market knowledge – Experience with, or a strong ability to develop expertise in, Greater China institutional and wealth markets, including how clients allocate capital and evaluate investment managers. Commercial ownership – Ability to independently manage priorities, maintain momentum across client opportunities, and coordinate effectively across investment, sales, product, and client teams.
