Overview We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly engaged Immunology Business Director (IBD) to lead a field sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales leader to build and develop a high-performing team, translate brand strategy into exceptional field execution, and play a critical leadership role. The Immunology Business Director will lead a team of Immunology Therapeutic Specialists , creating a culture centered on performance, accountability, collaboration, integrity, and patients. The successful candidate will bring strong specialty-market experience, exceptional coaching capabilities, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead through the complexity and pace of a product launch.
What You’ll Do Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team
Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a team of Immunology Therapeutic Specialists. Build a culture of high performance, accountability, integrity, compliance, and continuous learning. Provide meaningful field coaching through joint calls, observation, feedback, and skill development. Identify and develop top talent and future leaders.
Drive Business Performance & Launch Excellence
Translate national brand strategy into clear regional priorities, business plans, account strategies, and field execution. Analyze market and performance data to identify opportunities, optimize resources, and drive results. Navigate ambiguity and changing market dynamics with agility, urgency, and disciplined execution.
Navigate Market Access & the Patient Journey
Lead the team in understanding and navigating payer, reimbursement, access, and fulfillment dynamics. Partner closely with Market and Patient Access colleagues to address barriers throughout the patient journey. Help teams support customer offices in understanding benefits verification, prior authorization, bridge programs, copay assistance, HUB services, and specialty pharmacy distribution. Identify and appropriately escalate recurring access and fulfillment barriers to improve patient and customer experience.
Build Strong Customer & Market Relationships
Develop strong relationships with key dermatology stakeholders, opinion leaders, high-volume practices, super-groups, and institutional customers. Coach the team to deliver compelling, compliant, and data-driven clinical and value conversations. Develop local market strategies that support awareness, adoption, and appropriate utilization.
Collaborate Across the Organization
Partner closely with Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Operations, and other key stakeholders to ensure aligned and effective execution. Bring actionable insights from the field back to the organization to help shape strategy, messaging, and tactical priorities.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. Demonstrated success in competitive specialty markets and/or with systemic, injectable biologic, or oral JAK therapies. Proven people-leadership experience with a strong track record of coaching, developing, and motivating sales talent; first-line leadership experience preferred. Experience partnering cross-functionally with functions such as Marketing, Market Access, and Operations. Experience with HUB services and patient support programs. Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and execution discipline. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database applications. Lives in and can travel within the assigned region as required. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred
Dermatology and/or immunology experience Experience working with institutional customers, super-groups, and key accounts. Experience successfully supporting product launches and driving sustained post-launch growth.
