Ground Test Engineer

Accountabilities  Safe and efficient execution of Ground and Flight Acceptance Tests on series  aircraft. Those tasks are carried out on ground in cockpit and in cabin (as Ground Test Engineer) and in flight in cabin (as Flight Cabin Specialist and Cabin Safety Crew). They are performed in Production and in Delivery Phase leading to get the Certificate of Airworthiness of the production aircraft assembled by Airbus.   Some similar tasks can be performed as well on In-Service aircraft.  Main activities  To perform during production phase from FOT (FAL Operation Test) to PFFM (Pre First  Flight Meeting), if no delegation of those tasks to FAL Ground Test Engineers:  GTI(Ground Test Instructions) static checks, engine destorage and engine run,  compass swing and low speed taxi checks in cockpit and cabin.   To perform in production phase from PFFM to H/ O (Hand over):   High speed taxi checks (Rejected Tack-Offs) and all relevant Cabin Tests during first  flight and further Check Flights in accordance to the PATM (Production Aircraft Test  Manual).   To perform during delivery phase in presence of the customer as member of the core  delivery team:   Ground Checks in accordance to the CAM (Customer Acceptance Manual) including  static checks and engine run as well as the cabin tests during the Customer  Acceptance Flight.   To ensure Cabin Safety during Production and Customer Acceptance Flights.  ∙ To ensure technical follow up of the aircraft during production and delivery phase in  close collaboration with the Flight Test Engineer.   To present the technical status of the aircraft to the customer.   To fill the Aircraft Technical Logbook and to crew accept the technical points when  work has been carried out and controlled.   To participate to all specific meetings necessary for above described tasks related to  technical points, aircraft management or customer aspects (FOT, PFFM, H/O,  Welcome and status meeting during delivery phase).   To sign the Flight Condition Approval Form as POA (Production Organization Approval)  actor at PFFM leading to obtaining the temporary Permit to Fly. Outputs During the aircraft delivery phase the jobholder is a key person towards the customer  for technical issue in close collaboration with the Flight Test Engineer.  With regard to Commitment letters the jobholder provide his technical expertise to the  Contract Department.  Overall the jobholder us a key technical actor in the OTOQOCD (On Time On Quality  On Costs Delivery).  Input  ⮚ Qualifications   • Education: University degree in aeronautics, mechanical engineering or equivalent   • Experience: Some years in civil aviation engineering operations   • Basic Skills: Integrity; Rigorousness; Very good English level and communication skills   • Certifications: Bachelor/Master of Engineering;   ⮚ Ability   The Coachable, observable and measurable skills and competencies critical to the successful  performance of the job   • Soft Skills: Team player; Customer-minded attitude; Ability to work in a transnational  team; Ability to analyse problems under stress   • Technical Skills: Good understanding of Airbus aircraft systems and their test methods  This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
