About the Team
The Gringotts North team owns systems that manage the systems that manage multiple critical business logic, including the Secured Card product, Credit Limit Increase Program as well as Open Banking. Our team is at the forefront of modernizing digital banking, enabling customers to get access to credit. We focus on building modern, reliable web applications and mobile experiences for a customer's journey to get access to the Capital One Canada's secured credit card.
About the Role
As a Software Engineering Intern on our team, you will directly contribute to building the Open Banking Connected Accounts Dashboard : a core mobile app page that provides customers with real-time visibility into their linked external bank accounts and account sync status. You will work with a highly collaborative, diverse team of engineers and get hands-on experience building modern mobile interfaces, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure. IDEs: IntelliJ, VSCode, Claude Code, Windsurf Languages & Frameworks: Backend: Java, Spring Boot, Maven, DockerMobile (iOS & Android): Swift, Kotlin, JavaScript AWS Services: ECS Fargate, Lambda, CloudFront, SQS, S3, IAM Roles, Security Groups Monitoring & Observability: CloudWatch, Splunk, New Relic CI/CD: Jenkins, OnePipeline Databases: MySQL, AWS Aurora, DynamoDB Your Responsibilities: Develop, test, and maintain features for the Open Banking Connected Accounts Dashboard, enabling users to view, manage, and inspect the status of their linked bank accounts. Write clean, maintainable code across the stack (frontend UI and backend microservices) to meet story acceptance criteria. Participate in design sessions and conduct peer code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance standards. Conduct unit, component, and integration testing to maintain high reliability across account connection workflows. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives).
