Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (DS) is seeking a Computer Support 2/3 candidate to join its dynamic team of technical cyber professionals in the Roy, Utah area. Roles and responsibilities will include: Execute scanning and transfer of data between classified environments in strict accordance with SCG and JSIG Verify classification, releasability, and handling caveats against the SCG prior to any data movement Apply approved antivirus and malware scanning procedures to all data before and after transfer Ensure proper markings, labels, and metadata (classification, caveats, dissemination controls) on all transferred data Maintain complete and accurate logs for each transfer: requester, approver, source, destination, content description, date/time, and results Enforce authorized tools, media, and workflows for data transfer; prohibit and report any unapproved methods Protect chain of custody for all data and removable media; track issuance, use, and disposition Immediately escalate suspected malware, data spills, or deviations from the SCG/JSIG to ISSO/ISSM and program leadership Coordinate with security, system administration, and program teams to validate requirements and resolve transfer issues Recommend procedural improvements to strengthen data transfer security, compliance, and efficiency This role calls for someone who can handle a steady flow of repetitive work without losing focus or accuracy. You’ll need to stay flexible as priorities and deadlines shift, be comfortable working independently with minimal direction, and clearly explain and document what you’re seeing in the monitoring platform—especially when issues arise and leaders need quick, precise updates.
Basic Qualifications
Level 2 : Associate’s degree and 0 years of relevant experience; OR High School diploma/equivalent and 2 years of relevant experience Level 3 : Bachelor's degree and 0 years relevant experience; OR Associate's degree and 2 years relevant experience; OR High School diploma/equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience Additional Basic Qualifications Must have the ability to obtain a US Government Top Secret level security clearance within a reasonable period as determined by the company and by program and/or customer requirements; maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment. Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Access Programs as a condition of continued employment Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government 8140 requirements for a Cybersecurity (722) – (Example: Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP) Experience working in classified environments with strict adherence to SCG and JSIG guidance Hands-on experience scanning data with approved antivirus/endpoint protection tools prior to transfer Experience with how Windows handles file transfers across networks and devices (e.g., shared drives, mapped network locations, USB/external storage), including permissions, transfer performance, and
