Job Summary: The Commercial Excellence Manager will support AMETEK’s Instrumentation, Controls & Vision Systems (ICVS) business unit, including National Controls Corporation (NCC), Vehicular Instrumentation Systems (VIS), and Motec Heavy-Duty Camera Solutions, to help maintain and execute the strategic plan and budget deliverables needed to achieve sales and profit objectives. This role is responsible for streamlining front-end sales processes, selecting and implementing automation tools, improving forecast accuracy, and maintaining CRM, reporting, and data analytics tools across the business unit. Key Responsibilities:
Lead multiple concurrent projects aimed at enhancing, upgrading, or improving the ICVS sales process to drive greater efficiency, stronger sales execution, and a better customer experience. Maintain the architecture and performance of business intelligence solutions, including Power BI dashboards and reports, while upholding robust data governance and change management practices. Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and scorecards covering orders, sales, backlog, forecast accuracy, pipeline health, quote activity, price realization, margin performance, and key growth initiatives. Establish, improve, and manage sales, order, and demand forecasting processes using business intelligence tools, CRM data, and cross-functional input from sales, customer service, finance, product management, and operations. Lead customer segmentation, account prioritization, and commercial analytics efforts to support resource allocation, growth planning, and strategic account management. Serve as the primary champion for CRM strategy and adoption within ICVS, including design, implementation, training, data hygiene, reporting, and ongoing maintenance to improve sales effectiveness. Implement and support CRM configuration changes, including workflows, approval processes, field modifications, dashboards, reporting views, and user adoption improvements. Establish win/loss reporting and competitive intelligence processes to improve pursuit effectiveness. Manage NPI opportunity tracking from concept through SOP and revenue realization. Support pricing strategy, margin analytics, and quote-to-order process optimization. Manage the development of additional automation, including lead routing, customer-facing tools, and quote-to-order process improvements that create a more efficient and enjoyable customer experience. Drive AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives that improve sales productivity, reporting efficiency, and business intelligence capabilities. Build strong internal relationships across business unit leadership, sales, purchasing, finance, customer service, product management, engineering, operations, and marketing to support commercial priorities and business goals. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; in lieu of degree, will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of analyst, sales operations, sales, marketing, finance, or related commercial experience.
