The Department Manager, Civil, Structural & Architectural (CSA) Engineering provides leadership, direction, and technical oversight for the CSA discipline in Worley’s Charleston, West Virginia office. This role is responsible for the overall performance of the department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of engineering services while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence. Working closely with project teams, clients, and discipline leaders, the Department Manager champions quality outcomes and supports the delivery of innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that meet client requirements and align with Worley’s standards, systems, and ways of working. The successful candidate will lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth while promoting an inclusive and engaging work environment. The role also supports business growth by strengthening client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the continued success and expansion of Worley’s CSA capability across the region. What you’ll do Department Leadership & Operations Provide leadership and direction for the CSA discipline, ensuring alignment with Worley's processes, governance framework, and strategic objectives. Drive departmental performance through effective planning, resource management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify, assess, and escalate operational and project-related risks, collaborating with stakeholders to develop practical solutions. Foster strong collaboration across disciplines, project teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors to support successful project delivery. Oversee departmental administrative activities, including workforce planning, timesheet approvals, and expense management. Build and maintain a high-performing team capable of delivering projects safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the Worley framework. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Lead regular department communications to align teams on priorities, performance expectations, business updates, and key initiatives. Promote open communication and knowledge sharing across project and functional teams. Prepare and deliver technical presentations, project updates, and business briefings to internal and external stakeholders. Apply sound judgment, analytical thinking, and effective communication to support informed decision-making and successful outcomes.
