About this role
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES As a Senior Architect for GD’s Airborne Systems business, you will develop solutions for Multi-Function Processor Systems, Storage Systems, and/or Stores Management Systems (SMS). This role supports both business pursuits and program execution. What You Bring to the Table
Experience designing and developing embedded hardware- and software-based solutions A collaborative approach and eagerness to provide technical leadership Exceptional communication, presentation, and influence-management skills, with a demonstrated record of securing buy-in for concepts and ideas Experience translating customer needs into product plans and technology roadmaps

A creative mindset, with demonstrated success understanding customer operational scenarios and using those insights to architect effective solutions Experience working on multidisciplinary teams that include hardware, software, FPGA, and cybersecurity experts Knowledge of COTS modules, including SBCs, FPGAs, graphics, waveforms, and switches Knowledge of open-systems standards and interfaces, such as SOSA, VPX, OMS, and avionics interfaces MBSE modeling experience, or a demonstrated willingness to learn
