DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW TD’s Tax Services is responsible for managing TDBG’s total tax position, including planning, compliance, reporting and strategy, and liaising with Finance, other business groups, and external revenue tax authorities. The mandate of Tax Services includes being a valued business partner by fostering strong partnerships, providing proactive tax advice, and communicating timely updates on changes in the tax legislative and tax administration landscape. The tax group is organized into country teams, specialty teams (e.g., transfer pricing, commodity tax, and international tax), and a governance team. This program is designed to complement your on-the job experience and features: Leadership talks with key Leaders from across the organization Lunch and Learns on topics such as Innovation Diversity and Inclusion and Personal Branding and so much more JOB DESCRIPTION Assist with the review and analysis of monthly tax exception reports to identify tax coding issues, data quality concerns, and potential compliance risks, and work with business partners to investigate and resolve indirect tax errors and exceptions. Assist in identifying and validating indirect tax recovery opportunities through data analysis and review of financial transactions. Support annual tax compliance activities by coordinating data collection, validating information received from business partners, and assisting in the preparation of audit-ready documentation and tax returns. Support tax audits by gathering documentation, preparing supporting schedules, and coordinating information requests. Support the tax team in responding to tax-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and participating in advisory projects. Assist in developing and maintaining audit-ready documentation, process documentation, and supporting records. Support initiatives focused on process improvements, internal controls, data accuracy, and compliance reporting. Support the Transfer Pricing team on intercompany transactions reporting, including liaising with appropriate business partners to gather and review supporting agreements and calculations for intercompany transactions.
