Position
Summary We have an exciting new opportunity for Senior Electronics Design Engineer in our Controls System Simulation team. You will be responsible for electronics hardware circuit design and development of Hardware-in-the-Loop real time simulators used to test and verify engine control and monitoring systems through full product life cycle. In this exciting role, you may be involved at any stage of a project including the initial brief for a concept, the design and development stage, testing of prototypes and the final implementation of a new product or system, support of fielded products and investigations. You will be working in a multidiscipline simulation team, with colleagues in other branches of engineering, vendors and external customers. Commitment to travel up to 20% between sites and up to 10% other travel.
What you will be doing
Performs trade study analysis, tolerance analysis, and various simulations to support the design's accuracy and efficiency Develop and troubleshoot electrical hardware simulations of control system sensors and actuators used as part of a Hardware-in-the-Loop real time simulator used to test and verify engine control and monitoring systems through full product life cycle Experience with developing software controls for hardware integration Experience with requirements-based product decomposition, development, traceability and assurance Compile functional description and design assurance testing results into a report sufficient for certifying authorities.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in STEM/ Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of Electronic Hardware Circuit Design experience, OR Master’s degree in STEM/Electronics/Electrical Engineering with 0+ years of Electronic Hardware Circuit Design experience; OR PhD in degree in STEM/ Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen Preferred Requirements: %+ years of circuit design electronic integration Experience with Root Cause Analysis and other problem-solving Experience working with databus circuits such as CAN, ARINC429, MIL-STD- 1553, SPI, I2C, Ethernet Strong software development skills in C/C++, Python, Atlassian toolsets and build environments for Linux and Windows OS Experience with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, meters, probes and similar lab equipment Experience with Thevenin equivalent circuit design, grounding isolation and shielding schemes, filtering, protection, EMI reduction techniques Experience with onsite integration of cabinet mounted electronic test equipment at external customer sites Analyze and translate high level requirements into a validated design for the electrical component Ability to present technical data to senior engineers and management Our vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
