O verall purpose of job : The position is designed to ensure: Import of products once shipped by source DCs Manage FTWZ’s operation including Labelling of all the products that get imported , Monitor & track shipments and ensure timely inbounding at customs Manage E payment of Custom Duty and their reconciliation with Finance on time to time Basis E-way bill preparation Carnet import shipment clearance and re-export back to source Identification of vendors and service providers Negotiation in price & cost comparison Liaising with various Govt. agencies like- Customs, Drug Authority, CDSCO & DGFT Co-ordination & communication with various service providers Due Diligence/Agreement of the service providers Process improvement & cost reduction initiation Preparation of Import Statement, MIS Report, Import data Analysis. Collaboration with other members of the Business, Supply Chain, Warehouse, RPT, RA, Legal and key stake holders is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives. Essential duties and responsibilities Import Logistics: Co-ordination with overseas Vendors, Affiliates to ensure correct documentation and logistics arrangements . Arranging import custom clearance of raw materials, capital goods spares under various government schemes. Managing Bonded Warehouses and labelling of all products in line with local statutory laws and QA protocol To verify /scrutinize all import documents before sending to CHA for custom clearance Take proper precautions to avoid the temperature excursion of import shipments Evaluate & determine best shipment mode to optimize Logistic cost Attending to any notices or letters from Government authorities in consultation with the Legal teams To review and explore the possibilities of Re-export & Re-import of materials Maintaining documents and records To follow-up for NIB sampling and keep the records Commercial Activities : Identifying & negotiating with Freight forwarding companies, CHA’s to optimize logistics cost & improve on service level. Vendor development, Quotation comparison, Price negotiation Processing of Vendors bills for payment Ensure & maintain Internal Audit compliances Banking documentation : Application for GR waiver, FIRC, TT payments Collection/Acceptance/Negotiable of original documents from bank. Bill of Entry submission Vendor management – responsible for managing the relationships with Freight Forwarders, CHA’s & JT. DGFT Agents.
