Job Title: Senior Associate, Software Engineering  Job Code: 42404 Job Location: Salt Lake City Job Schedule: 9/80 employees work 9 out of 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday of f     Job Description: This Software Engineering position supports software development activities for key growth programs. The engineer contributes to the design, implementation, integration, and testing of modern software solutions. This role collaborates across engineering teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance mission systems.   Essential Functions: Perform software development across requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams ensuring alignment between hardware and software. Develop software test procedures and verification documentation. Participate in technical reviews and contribute to design improvements. Support program cost, schedule, and technical objectives. Travel may be required up to approximately 10%, depending on program needs. Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field. Minimum 2-4 years related experience OR Graduate Degree with additional years of experience, depending on level. Experience with modern software development tools and practices, targeting embedded software development. Eligible for a DoD security clearance; current Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.   Preferred Additional Skills: Understanding of networking architecture and design principles. Experience developing for embedded Linux. Background with relevant technologies such as Kubernetes, FPGA/SOC, messaging middleware, etc. Experience developing with the Rust programming language. Cisco certification or equivalent networking expertise. Familiarity with secure comms or related digital signal processing disciplines. Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering environments. Experience developing complex software systems across multiple domains.
