The Senior Commodity / Strategic Sourcing professional will develop a strategic plan for a commodity or a strategic supplier. They will create, execute, and manage various subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.), using source selection techniques in support of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) / Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) exceeding $500M in annual spend. In addition, they will lead the sourcing process from RFQ to contract signature including development of supplier Statements of Work (SOW) and conducts bidders’ conferences as required. This position will focus on improving productivity by leveraging Raytheon and Collins spend as part of OneRTX for Electronics. Will be the primary driving force behind savings capture through executing advantageous contracts/LTAs/MTAs.
What You Will Do
Own and develop elements of commodity / account management and strategic sourcing strategy. Develop and implement supply chain strategies and develops networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. Evaluate and select suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of the supply. Responsible for early subcontractor identification and engagement to support new business pursuits and provide risk and opportunity analysis for early capture. Responsible for overall relationship with one or multiple strategic accounts across a given commodity. Develop program supplier risk and opportunity management plans. Establish negotiation strategy for award contracts, specifying spending limits and qualified sources of supply. Partner with internal BU's and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs and develops sourcing strategies. Direct analysis of suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Ensure supplier or commodity is performing to the designed RTX requirements from delivery, quality and cost perspective. May lead, initiate and/or participate in supplier assessments and development activities. Travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience or, an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years experience. Experience in the defense industry, FAR/DFAR compliance requirements in a Prime defense contractor. Experience across the product lifecycle (e.g., capture, development, production, sustainment, performance based logistics), contract type (e.g., USG, DCS, FMS, FFP, Cost, etc.) is required. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Qualifications We Prefer Prior experience with Circuit Card Assemblies. Must be able to communicate and present to all levels of the organization. Prior experience and leadership of other supply chain functional areas and/or Acquisition or Commodity experience would be highly desirable. LTA/MTA documentation requirements in a defense
