Competitive Pay: Starting at $35.95 per hour plus shift differential for 3rd shift   Consistent Wage Increases   Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, life insurance   Specialty Programs: Pet insurance, health programs for diabetes, hypertension, and more   40 1k   with Company Contributions   Paid Time Off & Holidays   Training & Tuition Reimbursement   Company-Paid Uniforms & Prescription Safety Glasses   Safety Shoe Allowance   Commitment to Safety: “Drive to Zero Injuries” initiative   Sustainability Leadership: Edison is Silgan’s first facility with on-site solar power     What   You’ll   Do   Operate and   maintain   CNC grinders, lathes, Bridgeport mills, welders, plasma cutters   Perform tool and die machining using blueprints and precision measuring instruments   Troubleshoot and repair gearboxes, pumps, and production equipment   Refurbish and rebuild tooling for can-making machinery   Measure and calculate raw material requirements   Catalog and   organize   production tooling for efficiency   Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with strict manufacturing tolerances   Follow lockout/tagout safety procedures   Operate plant equipment such as forklifts, lifts, and booms     What We Need   High School Diploma or GED   - T rade school preferred   2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment   Ability to work independently and meet deadlines   Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail     About Silgan Containers   We are the largest metal food packaging producer in North America, committed to sustainability and innovation.
