Title: CSR Modeller | Suburban Rail Loop East KBR, as part of the Linewide Alliance, is proud to be awarded the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) East Linewide Alliance contract. SRL is a city-shaping infrastructure project that will transform how people live and move around Melbourne. The 90km orbital rail line will connect every major train line, link key precincts, and support vibrant communities. SRL East, the first stage, will deliver 26km of twin underground tunnels and six new stations between Cheltenham and Box Hill, enabling 70,000 new homes near public transport, jobs, schools, and services. It will create diverse, accessible communities shaped by local input, with upgraded open space, bike paths, and essential infrastructure. The Alliance, comprising John Holland, Alstom, RATP DEC, WSP, and KBR, will deliver The Linewide package of works, which includes tunnel fit-outs , rolling stock, and construction of depot and maintenance facilities. This package is critical to safe, efficient train operations and long-term performance across SRL East. KBR, alongside WSP as Designer Non-Owner Participant, is leading comprehensive design services and contributing to alliance management. Our infrastructure design scope includes track, overhead line equipment, drainage and overland flow, civil works, tunnel portals, building structures and services, HV and LV power systems, cable containment, systems integration and safety assurance, ensuring seamless delivery across the corridor. We are seeking a talented CSR Infrastructure Modeller to join our Combined Services Route (CSR) team supporting the delivery of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL), one of Australia's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. As part of a multidisciplinary design team, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating detailed 3D models associated with utilities, service corridors, stations, tunnels, buildings interfaces and broader transport infrastructure. Working alongside engineers, designers and project stakeholders, you will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, coordinated and constructible design outcomes are delivered across the project.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain high-quality 3D models and design deliverables for major infrastructure projects. Produce coordinated models and documentation that meet project, client and industry standards. Coordinate design interfaces across utilities, buildings, civil, rail and tunnel disciplines. Participate in model reviews, clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination workshops. Interpret engineering designs, specifications and technical requirements. Assist in the planning and delivery of project milestones within agreed quality, budget and schedule constraints. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to resolve design and coordination challenges. Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to BIM, Digital Engineering and modelling standards. Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior designers and modellers where required . Contribute to the successful delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects through effective communication and collaboration.
About You
You will bring: Experience working as a Modeller , BIM Specialist or Digital Engineering professional within transport infrastructure, utilities, buildings, rail, roads or tunnelling projects. Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and BIM delivery. Experience working on major infrastructure or complex engineering projects. Ability to interpret technical information and develop practical design solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. A collaborative approach and willingness to work across multiple disciplines.
