Role Summary The DevOps Engineer will enable faster and more reliable software delivery by strengthening collaboration between development, security, and IT operations, with a strong focus on automation, operational excellence, and security. The role is responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability, and secure cloud operations across AWS environments.

1) CI/CD & Release Automation - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, security checks, and deployment workflows for microservices and platform components. - Operate and evolve Jenkins-based pipelines (and/or enterprise CI tooling) to standardize repeatable delivery patterns across environments. 2) Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) & Cloud Provisioning - Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform (VPC networking, routing, EKS clusters, load balancers, WAF, DNS, databases, and supporting services). - Drive a controlled “plan → review → apply” workflow via pull requests, automated plans, and pipeline execution to reduce manual changes and improve traceability. [ - Implement resilient endpoint and DNS strategies (e.g., Route53 CNAME abstractions for database endpoints) to support migrations, upgrades, and failovers with minimal application impact. 3) Kubernetes / EKS Operations - Manage and optimize Amazon EKS clusters: cluster upgrades, node groups, ingress/load balancing (NLB), resource policies, and operational runbooks. - Ensure reliable deployment operations (rollouts, rollbacks, scaling, capacity planning) and standardize Kubernetes manifests/Helm/Kustomize practices (as applicable). 4) Security & DevSecOps Practices - Integrate security measures into the delivery lifecycle (pipeline checks, configuration hardening, least-privilege IAM patterns, and secure defaults). - Contribute to security-by-design cloud configurations, including perimeter controls (AWS WAF) and secure networking practices (VPC segmentation and controlled egress/ingress). 5) Observability, Monitoring & Incident Response - Set up and maintain monitoring/observability systems (ELK/Elastic stack, metrics, dashboards, alerts) to track application and infrastructure health and respond to incidents effectively. - Perform root-cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve reliability (SLO/SLA alignment where applicable). 6) Performance, Reliability & Operational Excellence - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application and infrastructure layers (EKS, networking, data stores). - Define operational standards (runbooks, on-call readiness, operational KPIs) and promote consistent DevOps ways of working. 7) Version Control & Engineering Enablement - Manage and enforce version control best practices (Git branching, PR reviews, repository hygiene). - Partner with developers to improve delivery
