 About this opportunity Ericsson is seeking a highly skilled MS Core Cloud Specialist – CS Core · IMS to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This senior role requires deep expertise in Ericsson IMS stack and Nokia MSS/MSC-S platforms to manage and evolve voice core infrastructure across Australian Data Centers. What you will do · Operate and maintain Ericsson IMS nodes (P/S/I-CSCF, MGCF, MGW, HSS/HLR, TAS, SLF, BGCF, IBCF, TrGW, SBC) across Sydney Data Centers · Manage and maintain Nokia MSS (Mobile Softswitch) and MSC-S (MSC Server) nodes for CS Core voice · Perform fault management, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis for IMS/CS Core outages · Execute software upgrades, patch management, and capacity expansions on Ericsson/Nokia platforms · Monitor IMS and CS Core KPIs using Grafana, Kalix, Ericsson ENM; resolve degradations proactively · Perform configuration management and provisioning using Ericsson ENM and OneFM · Develop and review MOPs for change management and maintenance windows · Collaborate with PS CORE, Fixed Voice, VAS, and NOC teams on cross-domain incidents · Provide Level 3 support and vendor TAC escalation management (Ericsson and Nokia) · Maintain accurate network documentation and knowledge-base articles You will bring Education and experience · Education: Bachelor’s in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent · Experience: 15+ years CS Core/IMS — hands-on Ericsson IMS and Nokia MSS/MSC-S Mandatory technical skills · Ericsson: P/S/I-CSCF, MGCF/MGW, HSS, TAS, SBC · Nokia: MSS, MSC-S Tool knowledge · Grafana · Kalix · Ericsson ENM · OneFM · ITSM / ServiceNow · Unix / Linux CLI Protocol and technology knowledge · SIP / SIP-I · Diameter · MAP / CAP · ISUP / SS7 · H.248 / MEGACO · SIGTRAN · RTP / RTCP · VoLTE / VoWiFi · IPv4 / IPv6 · SCTP Node types and platforms · Ericsson – P/S/I-CSCF: IMS Call Session Control Functions — proxy, serving, interrogating CSCF · Ericsson – MGCF / MGW: Media Gateway Control Function / Media Gateway — PSTN-IMS interworking · Ericsson – HSS / HLR: Home Subscriber Server / Home Location Register — subscriber data management · Ericsson – TAS: Telephony Application Server — VoLTE/VoWiFi call features and supplementary services · Ericsson – SLF / BGCF: Subscription Locator Function / Breakout Gateway Control Function · Ericsson – IBCF / TrGW: Interconnection Border Control Function / Transition Gateway — IMS peering · Ericsson – SBC: Session Border Controller — SIP trunking, border security, media transcoding · Nokia – MSS: Mobile Softswitch Server — CS voice call control, mobility management · Nokia – MSC-S: Mobile Switching Centre Server — CS domain switching and handover control Additional advantages and requirements · Added advantage: Good understanding of 5G VoNR and CS Core/IMS Core KPIs, with ability to interpret and act on IMS performance degradation trends · Right to Work: Full right to work in Australia; Sydney-based or relocating Why join Ericsson?
