BUSINESS UNIT: NATURAL GAS PIPELINES With approximately 66,000 miles of natural gas pipelines, Kinder Morgan owns an interest in or operates the largest natural gas network in North America. We serve the major consuming markets of the United States, and our pipelines transport approximately 40 percent of the natural gas consumed in the U.S. Our pipelines are connected to every important natural gas resource play and supply area, including the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Bakken, Utica, Uinta Permian, Haynesville, Fayetteville and Barnett.
Position
Overview: Join our team at Kinder Morgan and play a key role in shaping the present and future of North America's energy infrastructure. In this position, you will coordinate daily scheduling activities across one or more of Kinder Morgan's Midstream pipeline assets. The Scheduling Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, addressing and resolving issues related to nominations, allocations, imbalances, and overseeing daily processing of commercial transportation activities.
What You Will Do
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze and resolve issues regarding natural gas transportation scheduling, allocations, and imbalances. Provide excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer issues. Processes nominations and confirmations to ensure accurate volume information is available for Gas Control. Work with producers, marketers, and downstream interconnects to manage/minimize imbalances. Assist with processing allocations of physical flow. Execute on daily commercial activities that require nominations. Lead special projects and contribute to testing efforts of system enhancements. Maintain positive relationships with pipelines, producers, marketers and internal business owners. Other duties may be assigned. What You Need Education: Candidate must be working towards Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a comparable discipline. Entering either junior or senior year of college. Senior students must be graduating in December 2027 or later to be eligible. Work Location: Work location will be Houston Headquarters based in Houston, TX. Required Skills & Abilities: Highly developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills appropriate in a dynamic open team office environment Ability to positively interface with customers personally via telephone in a highly efficient, knowledgeable, and professional manner. Ability to work in a team environment as well as work autonomously with limited direct supervision.
