As Citi continues to deepen its analytical capacity and accelerate innovation, Mumbai has become a strategically important hub, with the Equities Prime Services team in India working in close partnership with trading desks, risk management, and senior leadership across Hong Kong, Singapore, London, and New York. This AVP role sits within the In-Business Risk (IBR) function of Citi's Equities Prime Services franchise, with direct responsibility for counterparty and platform risk management across the firm's cash and synthetic Prime Brokerage, Equity Delta One, and Futures and Derivatives Clearing business lines. This is a substantive, highly visible risk management position embedded within the front office, offering exposure to a diverse product set and a seat at the table with some of the most experienced practitioners in global prime finance. Primary Responsibilities

Own the day-to-day monitoring and management of counterparty credit exposure across cash prime brokerage, synthetic equity portfolios, and futures and derivatives clearing, including margin adequacy assessments, concentration risk analysis, and escalation of exceptions in line with governance frameworks. Identify, assess, and mitigate platform-level risks within the Prime Brokerage infrastructure, partnering with trading, technology, and operations to strengthen controls and ensure robust risk management discipline across business lines. Develop and maintain stress testing frameworks specific to prime and clearing portfolios, applying quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess potential exposures under adverse market conditions, with findings presented to senior leadership. Act as a credible risk partner to front office business heads, trading desks, and risk committees, providing clear and actionable risk commentary on market events, client behaviour, and portfolio dynamics in real time. Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the governance and control framework across prime and clearing businesses in collaboration with compliance, legal, and independent risk functions. What We Need From You Demonstrable experience — typically seven or more years — in a risk management role at an investment bank, prime brokerage, clearinghouse, or comparable financial institution, with direct exposure to at least one of: cash prime brokerage, synthetic equity products, or futures and derivatives clearing. A strong working knowledge of counterparty credit risk, margin methodologies (including VaR, PFE, stress and scenario analysis), and the mechanics of equity financing structures such as total return swaps, equity swaps, and securities lending. Quantitative capability, with proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, or equivalent; experience with risk platforms, data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or automation tools (e.g., Alteryx) is an advantage. Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks governing prime brokerage and clearing, including those pertaining to margin adequacy, financial responsibility rules, and derivatives regulation (e.g., CFTC, SEC, EMIR requirements as applicable).
