About this role
What you’ll do: Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a VAT Controversy Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our CDMX Mytikah Office (candidates already living in Mexico city are preferred). The VAT Controversy Analyst is a position focused on VAT matters. As part of the VAT Controversy team, this position will support the VAT Controversy Manager on tasks related with the VAT refund procedures such as: Review the VAT refund claims prepared, preparation of written responses to the Information Requests and audits triggered by the SAT, attend notification diligences, provide support on domicile audits, support on the electronic archiving, among others. Some activities related to the position include: Attend notification diligences. Provide support by attending domicile audits performed by the SAT, in coordination with the Indirect Tax Team. Maintain an updated calendar of all open procedures, including VAT refunds, audits, and related matters. Review VAT refund claims prepared by VAT CoE and follow up until filing. Validate working papers against the tax return and written request. Prepare written responses to queries issued by the SAT, VAT audits, and third parties. Review documentary support, mainly within VAT refund request procedures. Coordinate and collect the necessary information needed to prepare responses to VAT authority queries. Ensure electronic archiving of documents required to attend tax authority audits. Analyze queries from Operations related to VAT matters. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Law. About 2 years of work experience, preferably with SAT and/or a Big 4 firm. Analytical skills. Specialization in Administrative and Tax Law, preferably VAT. Verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English. Organized. Technical writing skills, specifically in VAT matters.
