Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. We are looking for a Manager to join National Pricing Personal Lines – a team at the heart of the strategy in Corporate PL, focusing on interpretation of results, the production of the indications and the deep understanding of our market trends and market outlook . This role reports into our current Actuarial Director. What you'll do here: Formulate appropriate recommendations after analyzing and interpreting reports produced by actuarial analysts to improve the performance of products and services. Manage the evaluation, development and coaching of members of their group to achieve the strategic objectives of the company. Manage their team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling the optimal use of human, financial and material resources according to company strategies and budget planning. Manage and provide technical advice to the members of their group responsible for actuarial work and studies (product rating, reserves, financial projections, contribution to regulatory requirements, etc.). Represent the actuarial function in various working groups/committees and act as a point of contact with other business units. What you bring to the table: University degree in Mathematics or Actuarial Science, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Job-specific designation: FCAS an asset. Minimum of 7 years including 2 years of coaching (major asset). Strong skills and knowledge of actuarial techniques. Leading with vision and values. Building strategic working relationships. Planning and organization. For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism (English, French) is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
