About this role
Ecolab is seeking an Industry Technical Consultant, Microelectronics to support the growth of our Global High Tech business across Southeast Asia. In this role, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert for water treatment and process applications within semiconductor, electronics and advanced manufacturing environments. You will work closely with field sales, corporate account teams, customers, R&D and marketing to troubleshoot complex technical challenges, optimise customer operations, support innovation trials and identify opportunities for sustainable business growth. You will provide technical consulting across applications such as cooling water, pretreatment, ultrapure water support systems, wastewater treatment, water reclaim and recycle, and closed-loop systems. You will also help customers improve operational efficiency, water performance, reliability and sustainability through Ecolab’s integrated chemistry, automation, digital, equipment and engineered solutions. The established Ecolab ITC scope includes technical consulting, complex troubleshooting, customer and internal training, sales support, audits, innovation trials, case studies and value documentation. What You Will Do
Provide technical consulting and application expertise for water treatment programs supporting Microelectronics and semiconductor manufacturing customers. Troubleshoot complex customer problems through system assessments, technical data analysis, root cause analysis and documented recommendations. Assess cooling, pretreatment, wastewater, reclaim, recycle and closed-loop water treatment programs and recommend improvements. Conduct customer site surveys, technical audits, best-practice reviews and gap analyses to improve application performance and customer satisfaction. Partner with field sales and corporate account teams to identify, develop and support strategic technical sales opportunities. Assist Corporate Account Managers and sales representatives with technical customer meetings, presentations and solution proposals. Translate customer operational requirements into technically and commercially appropriate solutions using Ecolab’s products, technologies and services. Identify and quantify operational efficiency, water, energy, reliability and sustainability improvement opportunities. Develop and document customer value through eROI assessments, Total Value Delivered reporting, case studies and technical reports. Support innovation programs through customer insight gathering, test-site identification, field trials, validation, implementation and technology roll-out. Provide technical input to R&D and marketing teams on customer needs, application gaps, market trends and emerging technologies. Deliver technical training to customers, field sales teams, corporate account teams and other internal stakeholders. Coach and mentor colleagues on applications, technologies, troubleshooting methods and value documentation. Monitor Microelectronics industry developments, competitor activities, regulatory requirements and technology trends. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline. Experience
