The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS) Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program’s two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services. The candidate selected for this position will be assigned to the Electrical Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities. Summary of Key Duties for this position: •Assist in the sustainment and operations of the Enterprise Access Control System, Perimeter Detection System, Operational and Security Closed Circuit Video Systems, Video Walls, Monitors and displays, computers and networks. •Configure, document, and troubleshoot IP Networks & VMware environments. •Apply cybersecurity fundamentals to networking equipment, including hardening, analysis, vulnerability management. •Interface and brief engineering efforts to Lockheed leadership, U.S. Government, and Satellite Vehicle Contractor personnel. •Perform final inspection and develop corrective actions for non-conformance items. •Gather and review data concerning systems and equipment specifications, company, or government restrictions, required completion date, and solution feasibility. •Monitor and report progress of several concurrent projects to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
