Job Description
Analyst – Payday What this job involves: Role will be primarily focused on the Pay Day & Workday Labor allocation intersection, but also engage in creating payroll accounting journals across the full suite of PeopleSoft 9.2 modules.
Responsibilities
Prepare Excel/Pivot charts for daily functioning. Processes company's payroll every pay period in People Soft. Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data in People Soft. Computes employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes. Adheres to payroll policies and procedures and complies with relevant law. Develop and maintain all relevant documentation, specifically the Global Data Dictionary. Ensure that appropriate process and systems controls are in place and maintained to guarantee the integrity of master data, including performing & reporting on periodic audits. Preparing ledger entries with earnings and deductions. Generating payroll reports for Managers to review. Attending to payroll inquiries from employees. Preparing reports and sending to Stakeholders as part of monthly exercise. Supporting business initiatives/ support changes. Participate in data extraction, data conversion, data clean up and system configuration. Coordinate & follow up with Cluster PMOs & service delivery teams to drive action items. Support new country transitions to Payday process.
Requirements
Proven experience as a payroll or General Ledger role. Familiarity with payroll software/ HRIS (e.g. PeopleSoft, Cognos) and MS Office (especially Excel). Overall experience required 1+ years, specifically working on PeopleSoft 9.2 for Payroll. Operational level experience in handling payroll processes in PeopleSoft. Ideally with experience in three or more of the following finance modules for PeopleSoft: Projects, Labor\Resource allocation, Payroll accounting, and billing. Strong Communication and Analytical Skills. Ability to work within tight deadlines and to priorities work. Troubleshoot issues during UAT & ability to liaise with business users & IT teams to identify & implement fixes. Ability to independently lead training sessions and build training materials & strong presentation skills. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent qualification. Good understanding of how data flows and systems work. Strong Accounting Knowledge. Preferably, more than 1 years of working experience in Payroll Accounting & Analytical profile in MNC.
