As a Reference Data Analyst within Instrument, Pricing & Common Reference Data, you deliver daily global asset pricing services and ensure data integrity across multiple business lines. You capture and validate bond prices, analyze market movements, and partner with vendors and technology teams to resolve issues and minimize risk. You lead through detail, sound judgment, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
Capture and validate daily third-party bond prices against multiple market sources, analyzing price movements in relation to market news and expectations. Liaise with pricing vendors to resolve issues, minimize risk, and ensure accurate pricing data. Monitor systems for job success, promptly resolve issues with technology teams, and escalate concerns to supervisors as needed. Prepare and distribute daily pricing and market impact summaries, including supporting market news, and generate month-end index rebalance and composition reports by tracking new bond issuance and auction and buyback activities. Produce and analyze valuation movements within client portfolios on a daily and monthly basis, completing all required tasks and reporting accurately and on time. Respond to client (Global Index Research Group) queries professionally, participate in monthly client meetings, and present relevant findings and updates. Contribute to ongoing improvements in the pricing control process and support ad hoc project work as directed. Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Bring 12+ years of experience in fixed income roles, including team management experience and an understanding of stocks, bonds, options, and financial markets. Demonstrate knowledge of industry activities, including corporate actions, index benchmarking, stock markets, and fixed income products, along with familiarity with pricing vendors such as Bloomberg and Reuters. Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP, alongside strong numerical and analytical skills and attention to detail. Communicate effectively within teams and across departments while working accurately under pressure, balancing multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred qualifications, skills, and capabilities: Use additional pricing and analytics platforms beyond Bloomberg and Reuters, such as FactSet and ICE Data. Hold an advanced degree or professional certification in finance, mathematics, or a related field. Leverage automation tools or programming languages, such as Python or Visual Basic for Applications, to support process improvement. Lead process optimization or technology integration projects in a financial services environment.
