The Procurement & Material Specialist will work in Procurement and will support a manufacturing area from a procurement perspective. This position will lead Plan for Every Part events, approve and review Change Orders. As well as monitor inventory levels and review disposal reports. This position also reviews Short to Lead Time requests. This position also works a lot in SAP does BOM reviews, and the mismatch tool amongst other SAP transactions.
What You Will Do
Maintain a stretch relationship between production planning/manufacturing/MPS Planning/procurement and any other organization/group to anticipate potential material constraints preventing production flow. Responsible for meeting the Manufacturing Flow Inhibitor goal set by the procurement organization for the site. Maintain a number of reports to allow management to monitor performance and take actions and make decisions based on the data set. Monthly disposition of excess inventory after the information is reviewed and shared with program management and manufacturing for concurrence. Monitor material that is quarantined and work to accelerate disposition of rejected material. Develop an excellent network across all sites within the Collins organization. Develop strategies to help improve the performance of not only the procurement organization, but the overall site. Lead Plan for Every Part events with cross functional team.
Qualifications
