Job Summary The Division Vice President, Sales & Marketing, leads the Sales Force, and the Product Strategy Team for our Lymphoma & Solid Tumor portfolio This position drives the growth of marketed products and to prepare for additional indications for those products. In addition, the Division VP, ensures that the organization is properly sized and prepared for all future product launches within the US. In addition, the DVP will lead in-line U.S. product marketing strategy and implementation for all marketed products including advertising, promotion, and advocacy for healthcare professionals and patients. The DVP also works closely with cross-functional stakeholders, such as Sales, Access & Reimbursement, Commercial Analysis, Development, Regulatory, Finance, Legal and other key functions, to ensure brand performance and deliver on company strategic objectives.
Essential Functions of the Job
Help develop and apply the policies that govern the conduct of Incyte's promotional activities and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations. Develop and maintain strong work relationships with thought leaders. Support current marketed product and lifecycle activities with a focus on launch preparation for new products. Manage sales & marketing budgets and expenses working closely with Finance. Utilize commercial insights to analyze and drive brand performance. Actively engages with diverse thought leaders and advocacy communities to ensure a wide range of perspectives are included. Lead the development of innovative non-personal and customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to reach HCPs and patients. Develop and lead the strategy, message development, and marketing material development for HCP and patient promotion. Work together with Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations and other key functions on strategic and tactical plans, development of new materials and programs and other areas requiring cross-functional alignment. Track, monitor, and report on sales performance and progress to Executive Team. Responsible for achieving or surpassing national sales goals and other sales performance targets. Set and monitor operating budgets to ensure appropriate and optimal use of resources in the field and corporate office. Attract, hire, train, motivate, and retain a diverse team, ensuring an inclusive environment for all individuals. Design and structure the field force and Product Strategy Teams along with supporting operations consistent with Incyte's strategic imperatives. Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the Sales and Product Strategy functions to accomplish sales revenue and brand objectives.
Qualifications
Experience in sales planning, marketing, and hematology/oncology is preferred, but equivalent experience in related fields will also be considered. Strong ability to understand market trends, financial data, customer needs, and the ability to assess competitive intelligence data is also required. Experience implementing innovative technology-based solutions for customer engagement (e.g., digital tools and platforms) preferred. A strong working knowledge and experience in in-line marketing in the U.S. biopharmaceutical industry. Must possess excellent influencing and communication skills.
