About this role: The Materials Engineer designs and optimizes material flows, packaging, and replenishment systems at a Carrier manufacturing facility, supporting the operation with efficient, lean line-side presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Designs material flows, picking routes, and line-side presentation systems. Defines packaging, containers, and material handling parameters. Implements pull systems (kanban) and replenishment loops. Supports warehouse design and logistics layouts. Supports NPI launches and production ramp-up activities. Analyzes and optimizes inventory and flow. Strengthen warehouse optimization and line-side material presentation responsibilities. Owns inventory optimization, replenishment performance, and material flow efficiency. Expands expectations around data analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 3+ years of materials-engineering or logistics-engineering experience. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employer sponsorship is not available for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics or related field. Experience designing material flows, picking routes, and line-side presentation systems. Working knowledge of packaging, containers, and material-handling parameters. Experience implementing pull systems (kanban) and replenishment loops. Proficiency with design and analysis tools for logistics/flow. Experience supporting new production lines. Knowledge of Lean Logistics. Proficiency with design and analysis tools. Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $79,000.00 - $158,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. Other Compensation This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
