The Productivity Enablement Lead contributes to the design and delivery of this major program of cultural change across Tech at Citi. This includes leading a team of engineers to drive lasting behavior change and to promote a culture of continuous improvement in the engineering teams globally. Major elements of the role include: Spearhead the adoption of a strategic suite of AI-powered and in-house development tools to significantly boost engineering productivity and accelerate delivery. Partner with senior leadership to align technology adoption with key business objectives, ensuring strategic tooling investments deliver tangible value at scale. Design, deliver and adapt holistic adoption frameworks to realise the compound value of the full CTO and AI portfolio of developer tools. Lead the EE Catalyst program in India to build a culture of continuous improvement and forge strategic partnerships across technology and business units. Champion the integration of GenAI and Agentic AI into the SDLC, establishing new best practices to enhance delivery speed, code quality, and overall engineering effectiveness. This role is key to the success of the whole Engineering Excellence initiative. The lead will interact with and influence Managing Directors and Directors across T&BE, as well as ensuring they remain well connected to the most junior developers in the teams. The Productivity Enablement lead will have a background of working in technology organization coupled strong engineering exposure, a strong desire to drive change and support others. This role will report to the Head of Engineering Excellence based in London and work closely with senior leadership in India for local initiatives aimed at improving excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leads a small, high performing global team of engineers to drive adoption of strategic AI-powered and in-house development tools and improvements in productivity. Define and articulate the strategic vision for productivity enablement, driving measurable outcomes that align with overarching objectives. Contributes to the continual improvement of Engineering Excellence as an active member of the EE Leadership Team. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of productivity initiatives, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting as needed. Collaborate with EE AI Platform lead for any technology requirement. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment and support for productivity initiatives. Leads on or participates in local Tech initiatives as directed by senior leadership in India to drive excellence.
