Collins Aerospace is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to join the Industrial Engineering Team at our Cheshire, CT facility. This is an onsite role located in Cheshire, CT.
What You Will Do
Apply core industrial engineering principles to improve schedule performance, labor productivity, process flow, and first-time quality. Lead and facilitate CORE Engagements to drive improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements to manufacturing processes and supporting systems. Analyze production routings, work methods, process sequences, and labor standards to enhance efficiency, reduce variation, and ensure effective use of personnel and equipment. Support the creation, maintenance, and improvement of standard work, visual controls, and manufacturing documentation. Conduct time, motion, and flow studies to support layout changes and ensure ergonomic, efficient production areas. Develop and update facility layouts to optimize material flow, space utilization, and workstation design using AutoCAD. Track improvement projects, ensure closure, and verify results through measurable metrics.
Qualifications
You Must Have Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. Working knowledge of labor planning, process flow analysis, routing, standard work development, and bottleneck identification. Experience with MES, ERP, or related manufacturing systems. Experience with Lean, CORE, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
We Prefer Experience using basic data tools (Excel, Power BI, SQL) to support analysis and decision making. Strong project management, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence improvement outcomes. Experience with Solumina and/or SAP.
