Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Mechanical Engineer to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee mechanical systems installation, coordinate with contractors and subcontractors, and ensure all work meets engineering specifications and safety standards. You will be responsible for on-site supervision, quality control, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, decisive problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of construction excellence. Supervise and coordinate mechanical systems installation, including HVAC, plumbing, and equipment placement on construction sites Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards Review and approve mechanical work performed by contractors and subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project requirements Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies in real-time, implementing corrective actions as needed Maintain detailed construction documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, and progress updates Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, UAE construction regulations, and environmental compliance requirements Prepare and review mechanical inspection and testing reports to verify system performance and functionality Manage project timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders, escalating delays or concerns promptly Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site personnel Maintain organized records of all mechanical specifications, change orders, and project modifications Qualifications Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 8 years in construction supervision or site management Strong proficiency in CAD software and mechanical design principles In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and equipment installation Comprehensive understanding of UAE construction standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams Proficiency in construction management software and documentation systems Knowledge of safety
