Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a candidate with outstanding leadership skills to fill a Cyber System Engineering Manager 1 position in Annapolis Junction, MD. What You'll Get to Do: This is a dual role position encompassing both people leadership and direct technical performance. This position will manage a team that may support multiple programs, projects and initiatives. The position requires daily on site presence and is located specifically in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.  This role will focus on two primary areas of responsibility, People Leadership and Technical Performance. People Leadership responsibilities include: Management of individual contributors; Ensure team has a clear purpose and clear roles; Communicate information to employees in a timely manner to help them to be productive and engaged; Give direct feedback to people on her/his team about performance and potential in the organization; Find and develop talent; Staffing and workload forecast; Coordinating specific staffing requirements; Employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development; Participation in recruiting events and interviews, identifying rotational opportunities for employees, and performance management; Ensure personnel within the discipline team are meeting technical requirements of supported programs; The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and have success as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Work with Program Management to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Technical responsibilities include: The candidate must have a technical performance role on one of the classified programs at Annapolis Junction that can account for at least 80% of their time. Technical performance responsibilities will vary with each candidate but will align to mid- level System Engineering scope such as: Work within the Systems Engineering Group to provide technical decisions and guidance to enable timely, high quality product deliveries and flight test events that meet mission Cyber requirements Partner and collaborate with other program systems engineers across Integrated Product Teams to accomplish program cyber requirements and meet mission objectives As a member of a team of specialized NGMS cyber systems engineers, support the development and enhancement of
