Overview of Role: The Sr. Lead, PR, Communications & Content works closely with the Director, Global PR, Communications & Content to develop and execute the brand’s strategic communications and public relations strategies – with a focus on international markets – to increase brand awareness and affinity for Silversea in the UK, EMEA, AUS/NZ, and APAC. This team member will also work closely with the Manager, Strategic Web Content to support the editorial direction and blog content for the brand’s content hub, Discover by Silversea. Key Responsibilities: PR & Communications:
Supports the development and management of global PR and Communication strategies and tactics that supports Silversea’s marketing strategy. Regionalizes global PR strategy to establish goals and priorities in the UK, EMEA, AUS/NZ, and APAC, adapting messaging and tactics to regional nuances and media markets. Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and opinion influencers, media outlets, and regional PR agencies and partners. Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies, including the development of media materials including press releases, press notes, media briefings, executive talking points, internal communications, etc. Partner closely with global PR team and Royal Caribbean Group’s Corporate Communications team on crisis and issues management. Partner with regional leadership teams to best align communications strategies with in-market business priorities. Track, measure, and report monthly earned media performance. Lead and manage PR agency and content partnership relationships, including budget management. Lead visiting journalist familiarization (FAM) program. Support global PR team as needed.
Content & Editorial Direction
Partner closely with the Manager, Strategic Web Content on the editorial direction for the brand’s blog, Discover by Silversea. In partnership with content agencies and the Manager, Strategic Web Content, build and manage the editorial calendar for Discover by Silversea that balances brand storytelling, SEO/GEO and discoverability objectives, and timely, inspirational news content. Lead, edit, and approve blog content before publishing. Provide direction to content partners and writers, ensuring consistent quality, tone, accuracy, and brand alignment. Identify content opportunities that support brand narrative objectives, including PR, paid media, and more, ensuring content and communications work in lockstep to maximize content investment and impact. Monitor content performance to refine content strategy.
