Job Area: Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group, Sales, Business Development & Marketing Group > Marketing General Summary: General Summary Lead integrated marketing communications in Japan across Qualcomm’s key initiatives and partnerships. This role develops and executes end-to-end communication strategies spanning PR, partner/OEM co-marketing, channel/retailer programs, digital/owned channels, and events. The position drives consistent brand storytelling, launch excellence, and measurable business impact by aligning cross-functional stakeholders locally and globally.
Key Responsibilities
Integrated Comms Strategy & Messaging Develop, align, and execute Japan marketing communications plans for priority products/initiatives and strategic partnerships. Own message architecture and storytelling, translating technical value into compelling narratives for press, partners, and customers. OEM/Partner Co-marketing & Launch Communications Lead OEM/partner account-based marketing communication plans and co-marketing execution. Partner with OEM PR leads and local/HQ PR teams to maximize coverage and align launch messaging and assets. Coordinate enablement programs with OEM training/category teams to scale product knowledge across sales/marketing/training organizations. Public Relations, Media & Content Operations Manage PR programs including media relations, briefing planning, and news release/content operations in Japan. Own editorial planning and localization (Japanese/English) for key materials, ensuring brand and message consistency. Digital / Owned Channels (Social, Web, Communities) Plan and run always-on communication via owned channels (e.g., social, web content hubs) and community programs (e.g., Snapdragon Insiders as applicable). Collaborate with digital marketing teammates to convert initiatives into actionable workstreams. Channel/Retailer Programs & MDF/GTM Enablement Manage partner engagement and local GTM planning in coordination with cross-functional teams. Support and manage local MDF / revenue programs with channel partners where applicable. Event & Program Management Lead planning and execution of industry exhibitions, partner events, press sessions), including post-event reporting and insights. Operational Excellence (Project Governance, Budget, Reporting) Provide regular project updates to internal stakeholders; drive approvals and workflows using tools such as Workfront. Partner with Analytics to define KPIs and deliver insights on program effectiveness. Manage agency/vendor engagement and ensure compliance with internal processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related experience OR Associate’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience Proven experience leading integrated communication programs (PR + partner marketing + digital + events) with multiple stakeholders. Business-level Japanese and English communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to manage multiple simultaneous programs with strong ownership, structured planning, and on-time delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in technology/consumer electronics and partner/OEM co-marketing. Hands-on project management using marketing workflow tools and cross-functional governance. Data-driven mindset with KPI design, performance reporting, and optimization. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
