Your key responsibilities As a Senior Associate with EY-Parthenon's Corporate Finance practice, you're likely to spend your day to day working on commercial issues, owning the execution of financial analyses, working with management on parts of the transaction lifecycle and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on Intangible Assets and business enterprise value. Skills and attributes for success
Commercial – as part of the team you will regularly advise businesses on corporate finance and valuation issues with regards to acquisition or divestitures and other strategic analyses. Financial acumen and modeling capabilities – You will use your strong technical skills as it relates to corporate finance concepts and application Regulatory and Accounting – you will work with management as part of an acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements. Taxation – you will regularly undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise clients on all aspects of US tax valuation issues. Intangible Assets – within the team you would specialize in the valuation of Intangible assets such as trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking and other licenses, patents, technology and know-how.
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or similar and at least 2 years of related corporate finance or business valuation work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 18 months of related work experience.
Previous corporate finance or business valuation experience. Financial modeling skills including experience building models from scratch. PowerPoint skills, including experience building client report out decks. Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot. Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects. You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to your office location for this position. The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
