About this role

Transportation Procurement Leader — Last Mile / EDSP (AMZL Brazil) At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people. If you'd like to help us redefine the future of last mile delivery in one of the fastest-growing e-commerce markets in the world, this is your chance to make history.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a senior leader with deep transportation procurement and last mile operations experience to own the end-to-end strategy and execution of Amazon's largest AMZL program in Brazil: EDSP (External Delivery Service Partner). This role sits at the intersection of procurement, supply chain, and network operations — leading the scaling of a carrier ecosystem that delivers millions of packages across 300+ nodes nationwide. The person in this role will be the single-threaded owner of the EDSP program, managing a portfolio of delivery service providers while driving aggressive network expansion, operational excellence, and delivery performance. You will partner with Operations, Finance, Network Planning, and Carrier Management teams to unlock capacity, negotiate at scale, and continuously improve delivery quality while maintaining 98%+ delivery execution accuracy (DEA). The ideal candidate is a proven operator who thrives in ambiguity — someone who has scaled programs from zero to hundreds of nodes, built carrier ecosystems from the ground up, and delivered step-function improvements while expanding coverage. You must combine strategic thinking with executional rigor, influence without authority across senior stakeholders, and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Share growth: increase EDSP program share of eligible volume while maintaining or improving delivery quality. Operational efficiency: continuously improve cost-per-package through network design, route density optimization, and supplier performance management. Network expansion: successfully launch and stabilize new nodes on schedule, expanding coverage to underserved regions. Supplier performance: maintain 98%+ DEA across the carrier portfolio with clear performance management cadence and consequence management. Stakeholder trust: earn and maintain the trust of Operations, Finance, and senior leadership as the definitive voice on last mile transportation procurement in Brazil. Team development: promote talent from within, close capability gaps, and build organizational readiness for next-phase growth. Key job responsibilities Own the EDSP category strategy end-to-end: develop and execute sourcing strategies that balance capacity, coverage, and service quality across Brazil's last mile network. Scale the carrier ecosystem: identify, onboard, develop, and performance-manage delivery service providers to support network growth from current state toward full national coverage. Drive operational efficiency and network optimization: improve route density, reduce cost-per-package through network design, and identify structural levers that enhance program economics without compromising service quality. Lead cross-functional alignment: partner with Operations, Network Planning, Finance, and Tech teams to ensure procurement strategy is synchronized with AMZL capacity planning, node launches, and share allocation decisions. Manage supplier performance with operational rigor: establish SLAs, track DEA/DPMO/speed metrics, drive root-cause analysis on underperformance, and create continuous improvement mechanisms with carriers. Act as the market intelligence authority: monitor competitive dynamics, capacity constraints, regulatory changes, and emerging delivery models to inform strategic decisions and keep VP-level stakeholders informed. Negotiate and execute complex contracts: lead high-stakes negotiations with strategic suppliers, structuring agreements that incentivize performance, mitigate risk, and protect Amazon's
