As a Portfolio Analyst, you’ll play a key role within the Investment Management team, directly working with Portfolio Managers and Traders across Global Sovereign, Global Credit and Money Markets. Your precision and proactive approach will drive operational excellence and empower decision-making at Western Asset. You’ll collaborate with key internal partners such as Client Services, Compliance, Investment Operations, and Risk Management to deliver seamless portfolio management support to the Investment Team. How you will add value: Manage the pre- and post-trade execution process: Oversee allocations, hedge calculations, while ensuring all trades meet compliance and market deadlines; utilize the OMS system to efficiently build trades for both local and global offices; pro-actively seek opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and create consistency in process outcomes Manage the end-of-day trade process: Ensure all trades are accurately loaded, driving transparency and reliability in portfolio valuations; partner with the back office to investigate and resolve confirmation breaks and trade fails, maintaining operational accuracy Action portfolio maintenance trades: Monitor daily cashflow ladders across currencies and any portfolio drift; communicate necessary maintenance and rebalancing trades to stakeholders; monitor post-trade impacts Facilitate fund and FX orders: Monitor FX trades ensuring fund orders are processed efficiently and accurately; follow up on foreign exchange orders routed through the back office, ensuring timely and accurate settlement with custodians Advance corporate actions workflow: Preclear voluntary corporate actions and support the corporate actions process; communicate critical updates and action items to PMs, Client Service, and Compliance, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and meet corporate action deadlines Monitor portfolio compliance: Pro-actively review daily portfolio compliance reports, swiftly addressing action items to maintain
