Job Role and Responsibility: Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to Define, design, verify, and create documentation for ASIC development. Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation. Define module interfaces/formats for simulation. Contribute to the development of multi-dimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits. Evaluate all aspects of the process flow from high-level design to synthesis, place and route and timing and power use. Analyze equipment to establish operation data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results. May also review vendor capability to support development.  Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles.
