What You Will Do
Raytheon’s Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking Senior Systems Engineers interested in Naval Radar engineering. Our Portsmouth, RI team primarily supports programs in the aval undersea and Naval surface domains, including sensor systems, mine countermeasures, submarines, torpedoes, combat systems, and ship architecture/integration. Our Naval Radar engineers perform radar data analysis and tracking, develop and manage system requirements, integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. Support planning and execution of system engineering design activities Prepare and present results in reports and briefings to internal or external stakeholders Develop requirements to ensure system designs meet program objectives and customer needs. Detect and diagnose system failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions. Support software/hardware efforts, collaborating with software teams to ensure seamless functionality. Work across disciplines to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex challenges. Stay up to date with advancements in data analysis techniques, and Integration, Verification, or Test practices.
What You Will Learn
After completion of comprehensive on-the-job training, the candidate will be a part of a team supporting Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) activities across the product development lifecycle.
Qualifications
You Must Have Bachelor’s in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field. Experience with MBSE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, and/or other digital engineering tools.
Qualifications
We Prefer Experience with identifying root causes of system failures through detailed diagnostics, implement timely fixes to restore functionality, and develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or other programing languages. Experience presenting technical findings, analyses, and solutions to leadership and customers.
