Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Calibration Technician – Level 2 to join our team in Devens, MA and East Hartford, CT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. AOA Xinetics (AOX), a wholly owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Space Systems in the Payload and Ground Systems Division, is a leading supplier of complex electro-optic and photonic systems and subsystems that control and manipulate light waves for various applications. We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to support our quality initiatives at our facilities in Devens, MA, and East Hartford, CT. This position will require 50% travel between both locations to address calibration needs. The Calibration Technician is responsible for managing and maintaining the accuracy, tracking, and regulatory compliance of measurement tools, gauges, and laboratory or manufacturing equipment. Key responsibilities include scheduling calibrations, maintaining databases, and coordinating with external vendors. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: Maintain and manage the calibration database for all tools, gauges, and equipment Ensure all calibration records are accurate, up to date, and audit-ready Track and manage calibration schedules to ensure all equipment remains within required calibration intervals Coordinate internal and external calibration activities with vendors and internal teams Generate and review calibration reports, certifications, and related documentation Identify and follow up on overdue or missing calibration items Assist in investigating and documenting calibration discrepancies or nonconformances Support internal and external audits by providing calibration records and documentation Communicate with departments to ensure timely submission and return of equipment for calibration Maintain organized records and filing systems (electronic and/or physical) Must be able to travel 50% of the time between our facilities in Devens, MA, and East Hartford, CT. Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. No clearance required to start US Citizenship is a requirement for employment Strong computer skills (experience with databases or ERP systems preferred) Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Prior experience in a manufacturing or quality environment is a plus Familiarity with calibration processes or quality systems is preferred but not required Curious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
