Staff Software Engineer Poznań, Poland
Your responsibilities
Serve as a technical leader for the Global Payroll engineering team, shaping architecture, engineering standards, code reviews and delivery approaches for scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions.
Partner with product managers, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business needs into outcome-driven technical solutions, delivery plans, and measurable engineering priorities.
Lead integration and software development activities around ADP Global View and SuccessFactors.
Participate in discussions with the Scrum teams to develop technical solutions to satisfy business requirements related to HR/Payroll using SAP HCM technology.
Lead and guide our business partners in finding and implementing the E2E integration setup between SuccessFactors and ADP Global View Payroll.
Lead design discussions regarding applications, APIs, integrations, data flows, and distributed systems, balancing reliability, security, performance, cost, and long-term maintainability.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to conceptualize products and services, leveraging data to drive original design ideas and decisions.
Raise engineering quality through hands-on technical coaching, code reviews, pairing, testing strategy, reusable patterns, and modern software development practices.
Advance DevOps and platform engineering practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, secure deployment patterns, and reliable production operations.
Monitor, identify, and correct the most-complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
Use modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development capabilities where appropriate, to improve developer productivity, accelerate problem solving, and strengthen software quality while applying sound engineering judgment.
Our requirements
7 or more years of professional software engineering experience designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting complex production applications.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language commonly used for enterprise software development, such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar.
Demonstrated experience with software architecture and system design, including APIs, event-driven or integration patterns, distributed systems, data modeling, scalability, resiliency, and maintainability.
Experience building and operating solutions using services from AWS.
Experience with DevOps and platform engineering practices, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, containerization, infrastructure as code, and environment automation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar.
Working knowledge of secure software development practices, including identity and access management, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, dependency management, and security controls built into delivery pipelines.
Experience improving production reliability through monitoring, logging, tracing, observability, incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
