About this role
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. This is an onsite role in Chesapeake, VA. This role serves as the operational backbone of the Chesapeake Media Group (CMG), Family Dollar’s Retail Media Network. The position is responsible for campaign operations, reporting, financial management, partner coordination, process improvement, and creative governance. The Operations Specialist ensures campaigns are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with supplier commitments while providing performance reporting, financial oversight, and operational support that enables CMG to scale efficiently. Financial Operations & Revenue Management Oversee CMG and COOP financial tracking and reporting, including reconciliation and forecasting. Reconciliation & Billing Partner with Finance and Sales to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition. Reconcile campaign delivery, supplier commitments, insertion orders, and invoices. Identify billing discrepancies and under-delivery risks. Forecasting & Budgets Maintain revenue forecasts, sufficiency models, and budget trackers. Campaign Operations & Execution Intake & Planning Manage campaign intake, project timelines, and execution workflows from request through campaign completion. Ensure campaign requirements, targeting, budgets, creative assets, and approvals are complete before launch. Execution & Quality Assurance Coordinate execution across Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Finance, Creative, and external media partners. Monitor campaign readiness, pacing, delivery, and fulfillment across all media partners. Conduct quality assurance reviews of campaign setup, creative, targeting, and placements. Issue Resolution & Documentation Resolve operational issues and communicate status updates to stakeholders. Maintain execution trackers and project management tools to ensure on-time launches. Maintain operational documentation and standard operating procedures. Reporting & Performance Analytics Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting. Manage campaign reporting calendars and supplier recap delivery. Validate reporting accuracy across partner platforms. Analyze campaign-level performance trends and recommend optimization opportunities (distinct from the revenue forecasting owned under Financial Operations). Partner Management & Process Improvement Partner Relationships Serve as operational lead for Epsilon, Neptune, Inmar, and future media partners. Support implementation of new CMG capabilities, technologies, and measurement solutions. Systems & Process Maintain operational systems including Smartsheet, Monday.com, reporting tools, and CRM platforms. Identify workflow automation and process improvement opportunities. Maintain master planning and communications calendars. Creative Governance & Brand Compliance Operational ownership extends to creative accuracy and compliance, ensuring assets meet Family Dollar brand standards before they reach a live campaign. Review campaign creative to ensure Family Dollar brand compliance. Coordinate COOP creative reviews and approvals. Maintain CMG/COOP style guides, templates, and creative standards. Ensure creative assets are delivered accurately and on schedule.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3–5 years of experience in retail media, digital media, media operations, CPG, agency, or marketing operations. Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills, including financial reconciliation and revenue forecasting experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Experience with Monday.com, Smartsheet, CRM, reporting platforms, and marketing technology preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
