You’ll learn from the best, take on meaningful challenges, and make a lasting impact for our clients, our communities, and Aotearoa.     Ngā kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role   This is an exciting opportunity to join PwC New Zealand's Private team in Hamilton, where you'll manage a portfolio of private clients and play a key role in delivering practical, high-quality fin ancial statements , tax compliance and advisory support. Working with a broad range of privately owned businesses, you'll combine technical expertise with commercial thinking to support strategi c and tax planning, risk management and private business matters across each stage of the client lifecycle.   As a Manager , you'll take ownership of engagement planning, workflow and resourcing to support quality, timely and profitable delivery. You'll work closely with senior leaders, review technical accounting and tax compliance work, support client reporting and finance function assignments where required , and help junior team members grow through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.   Your day-to-day could include:   Managing a portfolio of private clients across accou nting and tax compliance and advisory engagements, including reviewing financial statement s, tax returns and related client deliverables.   Providing practical advice on financial statements , tax planning opportunities, risk areas and wider private business matters.   Coordinating engagement planning, workflow and resourcing to support quality, timely and profitable delivery.   Reviewing technical accounting and tax compliance work, escalating complex matters where appropriate .   Supporting finance function and reporting assignments for clients where required , including forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.   Coaching, mentoring and training junior team members while sharing technical knowledge across the team.   Ngā pūkenga ka kawea mai e koe , ka whakawhanakehia rānei i tēnei tūranga / Skills you will bring or develop in this role   2 + years Manager-level experience within a professional services firm, or strong experience in a commercial environment, with a sound understanding of business accounting, tax compliance and finance.   A degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting or similar, with CA, CPA, CAANZ or CPA membership or progress towards membership highly regarded.   Strong technical capability across tax compliance, financial analysis and private business advisory, with the ability to deliver practical, high-quality advice.   Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, analytical problem-solving capability, strong attention to detail and a commercial, client-focused mindset.   Experience developing others, including coaching or mentoring junior team members and contributing to a collaborative learning culture.   Confidence using Xero, Spotlight Reporting and Excel ; experience with DEXT, ApprovalMax , Spotlight Forecasting, Figured, PowerBI or similar tools would be advantageous .     Ngā āhuatanga hirahira o te mahi ki PwC / Highlights of working at PwC NZ   Rewards - Discretionary bonus opportunities; generous referral bonuses; retail discounts & deals   Growth - Global network; leadership development; A.I. tools and training; formal learning pathways   Wellbeing - $250 annual wellbeing allowance; Life & income protection; S onder/EAP/Headspace; 15 days ’ paid sick leave; group-rate health insurance (eligibility applies)   Reputation - PwC is known for shaping tomorrow.
