Basic Job Functions:
The Environmental Supervisor provides leadership for the Environmental Team while supporting the division's environmental operations and compliance activities. This role is responsible for developing teammates, driving environmental performance, and ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to support Nucor's goals in safety, environmental stewardship, quality, productivity, and profitability. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead, develop, and support environmental teammates Oversee environmental operations, maintenance activities, and daily compliance tasks Support environmental control equipment performance, inspections, and troubleshooting Manage environmental programs, permitting activities, reporting, and recordkeeping Review compliance data and support regulatory inspections and audits Coordinate environmental projects, equipment improvements, and process enhancements Partner with operations and maintenance teams to identify and manage environmental risks Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen environmental performance and reliability Promote accountability, teamwork, diversity, and inclusion across the department Lead and uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa both now or in the future. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related technical field; or equivalent technical experience. 5 years' experience in a manufacturing, heavy industrial, steelmaking, or similar operational environment. Two years' proven leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Environmental compliance experience Experience leading technicians, operational teams, or cross-functional groups Experience with environmental equipment, monitoring systems, maintenance and troubleshooting Experience supporting capital projects, equipment upgrades, or process improvements Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
