What success looks like in this role: The Project Delivery Lead is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of application migration and modernization services across Azure and AWS cloud platforms. This role leads a customer-facing, multi-disciplinary delivery team embedded within the customer's organization and is responsible for the successful execution of a wave-based migration programmed operating within a Migration Factory model. Working within the customer's governance, architecture, security, and operational frameworks, the Project Delivery Lead is the primary point of accountability for delivery outcomes and serves as the senior interface between Unisys and customer stakeholders. The role ensures migration activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with agreed business outcomes, architecture standards, security requirements, and programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Leadership Lead the end-to-end delivery of application migration and modernization initiatives across Azure and AWS, spanning discovery, assessment, planning, design, build, migration, testing, cutover, and transition to support. Own the successful delivery of migration waves, ensuring programme objectives, milestones, scope, quality, schedule, and budget commitments are achieved. Direct and coordinate multi-disciplinary delivery teams, including solution architects, business analysts, migration specialists, security and compliance architects, cloud engineers, and testing resources. Act as the single point of accountability for delivery outcomes and customer satisfaction. Migration Factory Operations Lead delivery within a Migration Factory operating model, managing the prioritisation and sequencing of applications into migration waves based on business value, technical complexity, risk, and dependencies. Oversee application lifecycle management and migration decision-making, ensuring appropriate migration strategies (7Rs framework) are applied to each application. Continuously improve migration processes, delivery methodologies, tooling, and governance to increase throughput, productivity, quality, and predictability. Stakeholder and Customer Management Establish trusted relationships with customer stakeholders across business, technology, architecture, cyber security, and programme governance functions. Lead requirements gathering, validation, and prioritisation activities with business owners and subject matter experts. Represent Unisys in programme governance forums, steering committees, architecture review boards, and security review processes. Manage communication, expectations, escalations, and decision-making across all stakeholders. Governance, Risk and Compliance Own programme governance activities including planning, reporting, RAID management, dependency management, and executive communications. Ensure compliance with customer security, architecture, operational and regulatory requirements. Lead approval processes through architecture, design, security, operational readiness, and release governance gates. Identify, manage, and mitigate programme risks and issues to minimise delivery impacts. Resource and Vendor Management Manage workforce planning, resource allocation, capacity management, utilisation, and scaling of the delivery team. Coordinate third-party suppliers, subcontractors, and cloud partners to ensure delivery alignment with programme objectives and governance requirements. Ensure effective knowledge transfer, capability uplift, and development of delivery team members. DevSecOps and Delivery Excellence Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native delivery approaches. Ensure approved tools, platforms, AI capabilities, and development frameworks are used in accordance with customer governance and security requirements.
