About this role
Amazon is seeking a Site Process Engineer to join the EU Process Engineering team in an onsite, non-shift rotation role with direct exposure to EU-level strategic initiatives. This position operates in a defined-ambiguity environment where you'll work on problems and opportunities using your knowledge and skills to decide which actions to take. You'll design short-term solutions with limited guidance while learning to be strategic. The role offers scope expansion opportunities to lead local initiatives and potentially coordinate multi-site EU projects. Key job responsibilities Continuous Improvement & Data-Driven Decision Making: - Lead process improvement initiatives by comparing site performance against network benchmarks - Conduct data analysis and present findings in daily meetings, converting insights into action plans - Lead weekly performance reviews with site leadership, reviewing action plans and ensuring target achievement - Leverage AI and analytics tools to enhance data analysis, identify patterns, and accelerate decision-making Lean Transformation & Capability Building: - Join daily Gemba walks with FC Leadership to identify waste by observation and eliminate it together with ops teams - Drive innovation by scaling local initiatives and implementing network best practices across the EU - Lead continuous improvement initiatives autonomously (Kaizens) EU Network Initiative Deployment: - Own deployment of EU network initiatives at the site, ensuring timeline compliance - Support site commitment to pilots and tests, preventing delays across EU rollout Partnership & Collaboration: - Build strong relationships with Site Leader and Senior Management Team, communicating clearly with customers/partners/stakeholders - Support site management operational team during Q4 based on building needs About the team The EUCF PE team leads process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement across the EU Customer Fulfillment Network. They establish best-in-class performance standards, implement technological advancements, and enhance operational leaders' technical knowledge. The team equips operations with expertise to deliver technology and process improvements while reducing performance variation between shifts, buildings, and regions. Working collaboratively with Central Teams, they prioritize resources to improve process metrics across all paths.
