Job Details
The Jack Driver Operator transports pallets, combos, and materials throughout the processing operation to support production activities safely and efficiently. The role requires operation of powered pallet jacks and related equipment while following all Tyson Foods safety, quality, and food safety requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport pallets and products to support line operations. Operate an electric pallet jack safely and efficiently. Work in processing and freezer environments as required. Perform pallet wrapper operations. Manually dump tubs and assist with material handling activities. Operate dumpers and related production equipment. Connect marination hoses to hoppers when assigned. Complete required equipment inspections and report hazards or maintenance concerns. Follow all safety, quality, food safety, and company policies. Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hearing protection, slip-resistant footwear, safety glasses or goggles, safety-toed footwear, Type II hardhat, ANSI Class II high-visibility vest or smock, and freezer suit when working in freezer areas. Required Training New Team Member onboarding, Safety Plus, PPE training, hearing conservation, slip/trip/fall prevention, housekeeping, pedestrian safety, pallet jack operation, chemical handling, pallet wrapper operation, trailer loading and dock lock procedures, and department-specific training.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in food processing environments that may include cold temperatures, noise, moving equipment, pedestrian traffic, and exposure to wet walking surfaces. Team members must follow all established safety procedures. Key Safety Responsibilities Use designated walkways and yield to powered industrial truck traffic. Wear required PPE at all times. Conduct daily equipment inspections before use. Sound horn at intersections, doorways, and blind corners. Maintain good housekeeping practices. Understand emergency stop locations and procedures. Report injuries, hazards, and unsafe conditions immediately.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, operate powered equipment, perform repetitive motions, lift or move materials as required, and work in cold environments while complying with Tyson Foods safety standards. We accept rehires if you have not worked for Tyson in the past 6 months (180 days), candidates who have worked for Tyson 3 times, will not be eligible.
